From: Kenn Smith on 9 Mar 2010 19:13 in CenTex. Temps in the low 70's, not too much wind (it's always windy here this time of the year) and an only slightly muddy golf course after some heavy rains Sunday and yesterday. Our threesome, later a foursome, teed off at 10:30 and were in the clubhouse having a beer at 2:00. All of us played like we hadn't picked up a club in a century, mostly putting problems. Our greens are starting the winter/spring transition and are almost impossible to read. I had the low score of the group (87) with five, yes, count them ladies and gents, five three putts. I'm usually a pretty good putter but our greens right now have me totally psyched - anything over 8' could be a three putt. To make it even better my wife was out trimming one of our two front hedges while I was out flailing away. Can't beat that!
