The thing that impressed me most about Dragon Dictation is its ACCURACY. It never seems to misunderstand what I said. Which is more than I can say for some people. The resolution of side > streets was very impressive. Better than my Garmins. The Maps app that comes with iPhone is nothing more than Google Earth. Navigon is a full featured GPS system. I've used GPS systems (or ridden with people who had one in their car), and I've noticed that they're sometimes wrong, or send you along a less direct route or whatever. I've found Navigon to be dead-on accurate, and even knew of a road that had only recently opened in my area. > The "Retina Display" is so good on the iPhone 4, I've decided to wait >> to buy an iPad (which I'm lusting for) until they upgrade it with the >> Retina Display, which I'm certain they eventually will. >> >> Randy > > "retinal display" as in screen resolution?? "Retina Display" is what the call the crystal-clear display of the iPhone 4. Has to do with the new glass they're using. Compared to the iPhone 3GS or an iPad, it is remarkably clearer. Randy

I have two years to go, unless I > opt for the big $. Then what do I do with the 3G? You sell it on eBay. Even though new ones now sell for only $99 (with a 2-year commitment to AT&T), there are still plenty of them selling for nearly $300 on eBay because people want to buy them and jailbreak them (so they can use them with another carrier). When I sold my 3G earlier this year, I got $300 for it. I haven't sold my 3GS yet. But I'll probably get around $275 for it. That's the norm. Or I can just sell it on Gazelle.com for around $215. No muss, no fuss. > The 3G is ok though. A great toy, but a so-so phone. With the Nokia > all I had to do was press one number and it would dial one of the ten > saved phone numbers. The iPhone? They do. Last year when I was recovering from surgery, I was able to watch NFL games on my iPhone (because I have NFL Sunday Ticket through DirecTV). Randy |
