I've seen people at restaurants with their little card plugged into one of the USB ports on the side of their laptop to access the internet. The beauty of the iPhone is that if I need to get online while I'm out and about, I just use the phone. No real need for the laptop. Just hop on the internet using 3G network, and surf using the built in browser, Safari. No muss, no fuss. Does the iPhone allow for the computer to use the phone's 3G connectivity when connected? I have no idea. Never tried it. But then again, I never use my laptop when I'm away from home, so it's always on WiFi. Maybe next time I go on a vacation. ("Vacation?" I've heard the word before. Not sure what it means.) Randy |
