Shaft Stiffness and Irons
I'm toying with the idea of building a new set of irons in the near future. At the rate that I typically proceed on such things that would mean calendar 2007 :-) An accepted "golf truism" that I have heard more than once is (roughly) "the right flex shaft is the most flex that you can control" (where stiffer mean... 15 Feb 2007 19:20
Review: Manzella's "Confessions of a Flipper"
I just bought and viewed a copy of Brian Manzella's "Confessions of a Flipper". For the online version the cost was $9.95. You can either stream it off a website or download a 400MB .wmv file. The DVD is more expensive. See ... http://www.brianmanzella.com I'm going to try to give it a useful review without g... 31 Dec 2006 16:25
On Improving Lag (continued)
This is kind of a continuation of the thread with the same Subject first posted on 10/5/06. FWIW, the timing is perfect as it looks like I'll have some time to think about this vs. work on it. Last Sunday evening I caught the little toe of my right foot on a bedframe. When it happened I wondered 'did I break that... 5 Dec 2006 20:21
Iliolumbar Ligament
I'm having problems with my iliolumbar ligament and haven't been able to golf in awhile. Has anyone had problems with this ligament? I'd be interested in hearing how long it took you to get over it and what you did to strengthen the area. Thank you!! ... 16 Nov 2006 10:51

The four finger grip (forefingers and thumbs)
The four finger grip drill. Now that's the beginner golf lesson I wish I'd been given all those years ago. It's not just a lesson; it's like having your very own trainer by your side every time you want to find the perfect swing. The first time I saw this drill, which I have found to be an ideal beginner golf less... 7 Nov 2006 05:16

AJ Bonar, where's the credit to Harvey?
AJ Bonar was featured in this month's GOLF magazine, the article summed up the core of AJ's "philosophy"... The clubface closing acts as a lever which adds power to the golf swing. I've read Mike Dalecki's positive feedback on using this technique, and trying it myself I found that the ball jumped off the clubfa... 14 Sep 2006 19:41
Any source for tour yardage books (ie Lucas')
I have looked online, and only found tour yardage books at tpk.com, though I know George Lucas (for example) has made books for hundreds of courses. Does anyone know of a site that sells them, or other extremely detailed books? (ie either from the PGA/LPGA tour, or Nike/Buy.com/Nationwide) I have seen guidebooks f... 11 Sep 2006 00:02
Callaway X14 gems - advice?
hi, I just purchased a set of X14's with what I now believe to be ladies shafts - it states Gems on the shaft. Can anyone confirm this is a ladies club and that these are graphite shafts? I was also looking for the serial number on the 8 iron - it doesn't have one. Are these clubs pre-serial numbers on callaway's... 25 Aug 2006 16:06
