Most large insurance companies do a lot more than sell health
insurance. My wife's company sells group and individual health
insurance but actually loses money on it. However, the company makes
a lot of money in other areas of the insurance business.

However, there is profit in health insurance or why else would
companies sell it. The private nature of US health insurance is what
makes US health care the best in the world. For example, if there is
a need for more MRI machines then the market will provide them.

I guarantee that if insurers are forced to accept applicants with pre-ex
without an individual mandate, your wife's company will pull itself out of
the individual market or be forced to raise rates through the roof to cover
the claims.
Ultimately, that would force the creation of a public option.

Hmmmmm.....

Right.

What of it?

What other certificate is he supposed to have? Or do you imagine that if
he hasn't kept every scrap of paper he ever had (assuming he ever had
it) he's somehow done something wrong?

I see Obama's obvious ability. He can spend money better than a drunken
sailor. He spew more words out of his mouth than any politician in
history without actually saying anything. And, the one great ability
Obama has is voting "Present", he can be counted but not counted on to
commit to anything.

In Obama's screed against the Republicans last Wednesday in the House in
kept talking about his plan. We have yet to see his, Obama's, plan. It
is not on paper anywhere. The only place it seems to be is in Obama's
head. It is another vote of Present.

I can see Obama's obvious ability.
