According to a report, sales of Tiger Woods PGA Tour 11 are down 68%
from last year in the US. The Wii version alone dropped 86%. Analyst
Doug Creutz of Cowan & Company called the dropoff in Wii sales
"particularly catastrophic" in a note to investors, adding:

"Although this is probably due in part to the fact that last year's
version shipped bundled with Nintendo's new MotionPlus controller, we
are concerned that Woods' scandal woes may have permanently damaged
the sales potential of what we believe to be EA's third most important
sports franchise, behind Madden and FIFA."

Earlier this year EA Sports president Peter Moore dismissed any
mention of Tiger's scandal hurting sales, but that was before the
release of the new title which has certainly shown a decrease.

I believe that some versions now have Rory McIlroy on the cover, too.

The King is dead - long live the King :-)

I can confirm that Rory is on the Wii version packaging. There are
also new modes which give better reality when using Motion Plus,
togehter with the first person view.

Not having a WiiMote which feels and grips like a real club presents
problems if you have full reality switched on. If the grip is wrong
then the whole swing gets out of shape.

The graphics are a whole lot better but still miles off a PS3. Roll on
the Wii 2. At this time the Wii format is getting tired and it is same
ol, same old....
