Dodge? I answered your question. You still can't comprehend the
writings of others....

As to this question, a general answer will do. I have *NEVER* met an
academic Jazz person who is accepting of the innovations and novel
ideas of their students. They are *ALWAYS* hostile. JM experience, I
suppose, but I include you in this group.

I agree, but it was Rob's inference, not mine, that these were guys
you were asking about.

In other words, he has never actually met ANY "academic jazz people",
but this is the only thing he can think of to weasel out of being
exposed yet again.

PS: How about answering the other question about which institution you
now work at? Seems like it's been asked several times, and you
steadfastly evade it.,

A general answer is what is generally called bullshit because you're
unable to be specific.

This has nothing to do with your statement and the non-ability to
back it up? Your puffery was about Jazz artists, not academics.

You are the epitome of a pedantic, blustering, FOS junior college
professor who thinks that reading about a subject makes you an expert.

Don't you realize that you have continually made a fool of yourself in
this thread? You would've looked fine if you had just admitted that
your statement was hyperbole.

What a dolt.

I am an alumnus of Berklee College of Music, Boston, Mass., a jazz
school, and I can say in no uncertain terms that your assertion is
preposterous (for lack of a stronger adjective). The "academic jazz
persons" who comprised the faculty there were never "hostile" and were
always "accepting of the innovations and novel ideas of their
students." Tell us -- what experience do you have that leads you to
think otherwise?
