That makes sense. How hard would it be for the government to create a
website that employers could use to check the validity of a job-
seeker's visa or green card? They created one for gun-buyers.

Do you pay workers comp? Do you pay the employers share of FICA and all
of the other required taxes.

You do know she doesn't qualify as an independent contractor.

How do you know that, Bert; knowing as you do, absolutely nothing of her
working situation.

If she comes in once a week for 20 different households, who each pay
her for the service, how would she not be an independent contractor?

I don't know that she is, mind you, but you're the one making the
definite pronouncements with absolutely no knowledge of the
circumstances (other than she is paid to clean John's house).
