Yes, Bill: one of the most beautiful cities in the world with limited
land because of its setting between the mountains and the sea has high
prices for housing...

....because demand is high.

It's not a city like Vancouver or Victoria but the nicest Canadian town I've
been to is Sydney, B.C. on Vancouver Island. I'd summer there in a
heartbeat.

Due to high demand, prices are high pretty much anywhere on Vancouver
Island. Always have been.
