Really. You don't think Euro-Americans outlive the minorities in the US?

I hope to visit them in 5 years. I have a large map of them sitting in my
office. Helps me focus on why I work and save.

I've never seen the appeal of the San Juans. Way toooo many people.

The question is why, not if. Statistically the poor don't live as long.
Perhaps they don't have access to humane healthcare. Perhaps they have an
incorrect skin color which impedes access to better schools and jobs. Etc.

And there's nurture and nutrition into the bargain. Second
generations in immigrant families typically have been healthier and
bigger than the immigrant generation. This is also evidenced by that
fact that the younger generation in Japan is taller now, after a
couple of decades of emphasis on healthy nutrition, than the young
generation was when I lived there forty years ago.

It wasn't a competition in my mind.

I have only been to Orcas Island in the San Juans, but I liked it fine.
