From: Frank Ketchum on 28 Oct 2009 20:29 Why don't we solve all of the bitching right here and now? Somebody form a second group called rec.sport.golf.19th.hole and then those of use who wish to talk about golf interlaced with non-golf topics (politics, current events, what I did last weekend, etc) can go there and hang. When we only want advice that will wreck our game, we can pop back in here.

So many ISPs are dumping Usenet, and others are cutting the ones they had to a minimum. This would work as a Google Group though. In a quick check I found a few golf forums there, but most are for local areas. The few general golf groups are very small and hard to find. For Usenet, RSG is about it. BK

Are there not forums on the internet like www.4gea.com or www.golfwrx.com where you can set up a forum with subfolders. For example, subfolders like golf equipment, golf courses, and politics. Why don't we dissolve RSG, set up a new web based group in its place, and allow a subfolder for political or other non-golf discussions.

That might work, but getting people to go there would be the problem. BK
