The government can pass a law that makes a Ponzi Scheme legal. After

That would be hard to do, but not impossible. SS should have never
happened in the first place. I don't see anything in the Constitution
that says that the government has the right to force me to buy into a
publicly run annuity program or health insurance.

I don't know? How about the US defaults on its debt, the dollar
becomes worthless and the world's financial institutions totally
collapse.

I've always laughed at the survivalists, but right now having a supply
of food, lots of gold and some lead might not be a bad idea.
