From: Tom Yost on 3 May 2007 17:51 From time to time, I will find a ball or two in the range ball bucket that are not range balls - balls I suppose that have been "donated" by errant shots from the adjacent 10th hole. I would never steal RANGE BALLS buy sometimes I'll keep these unmarked balls for my shag bag. I figure it's an even trade for the balls I've donated to the range or pond. Should I be ashamed of myself? Discuss. Tom

There mine....you can have them. I blast junk balls out there @ times that I picked up in the woods

Most of the ones I donate back are better than what's in the buckets you buy. I'm sure that many of the brands would serve me about as well as what I play (mostly Noodle right now, ProV/Bridgestone Tour when I'm "in shape"), it's just that I want at least to have some consistency to my inconsistencies :-) The two courses I "donate" to don't seem to mind; although there are a couple of snootier ones around that probably only want their one brand in the buckets. So you can certainly have any of mine you find :-) MM

The teaching pro would tell me to take a few swings and he would cull the normal balls from the range balls and keep them. He would bag at least a dozen a day. I was new. What did I know? |
