From: John Turner on 24 Dec 2008 11:46 To all of the folks who post here on a regular basis, especially those who I have been pleased to have been able to meet at the annual golf outings, I wish you all the best for the holidays, and hopefully 2009 will see the start of an economic turnaround. Here in Canada, we are about to have our first coast to coast white christmas since 1971. I just took a break from plowing out the 30cm or so that fell overnight. Cheers John Turner

Here in Melbourne, Oz, we have wispy white clouds on a bright blue background for a crisp Xmas morning already! Expected temps in the mid 20s (C)...and the Boxing Day Cricket starts tomorrow, as well as the Sydney/Hobart and the Melbourne/Hobart yacht races. Great family outing days for all. All we need is a little rain ........ for a change! Seasons Greetings to all. David

I was down by our stream the other day and went into the bank well over my ankles. But it was a nice Christmas Eve day today. Sunny and a little below ten degrees. Best wishes to you, David, in the southern hemisphere and to you John in Canada and to all who correspond everywhere. Merry Christmas Pat Williams

Happy Holidays and may 2009 bring you all good luck. Jan Van Gerwen From the Netherlands where we will probably have natural ice this year.

Delightfully tacky and will always remind me of the friend who gave it to me - isn't that what presents are for?Not necessarily for their usefulness. -- Durram |
