I don't know why but the times I've used the speed cart, I'm more
tired at the end of the round than if I had just carried.

I saw a TM carry bag at a pro shop a couple of weekends ago. Its
stand mechanism was designed to stay closed up when in a perfectly
upright (90*) position. The Pro said it was designed for both cart
and carry use. He also said it fell apart rather quickly when he
arranged to have them used by a local HS golf team this past season.
he didn't recommend them.

Have you played his home course? The back nine is a hike! I can see how he
would be more tired using a Speed Cart there!
