Ya he will.

MJ did all the stuff that Tiger did. So did Arnold Palmer.

If Tiger behaves himself and wins like he used to, he'll be even bigger than
he was before and ironically it'll be due to this scandal. With the possible
exception of the POTUS, no one has been getting more press than Tiger. His
name recognition is bigger than ever and in the future if winning is again
associated with his name instead of chicks, nearly everyone will be back on
the bandwagon. Most people realize that sports heroes aren't the same thing
as spiritual leaders. They're athletes, not saints.

Of course, prior to that the Internet was out of reach for most folks,
and to access Usenet you had to at least have enough of a clue to
navigate a UNIX commandline. It was great.
