A debate has a form, that was one person asking a question, another replying and then moving on to some other question. Hardly a debate. In that form there is no viewpoint expressed other than that of the person answering the questions. A joke maybe, but no debate. Obama was basically filling in for Robert Gibbs.

Obama's RCP average approval rating is around 47% which is considered unelectable. Bush's was above 50% for the five weeks prior to the election and dropped to 48% on the week of the election and he was re-elected. So it's borderline right now.
