Almost all of the PhD's (and MD's for that matter) I know, or have met, are smart in the standard definition as measured by IQ. There are exceptions, but I won't go into that. However, some PhD's don't have the common sense to come in out of the rain. I can also say that when it comes to the ability to relate to their fellow humans, PhD's, as a group, are well below average. There are also some fields that seem to attract people who lack any personality at all. People who are very smart and very successful but complete failures as human beings.

Jack, standard cliches, accompanied by the usual BS. I suppose it applies to you, seeing as you claim to have a PhD? |
