It's the "and ties" thing that caused the unwanted variation in
weekend field sizes. An alternative to the new system would be to have
a playoff for that last spot to make the cut. Not practical. The new
system is not unfair, and not stupid, despite what Daly and some here
think. Those bubble boy whiners have nothing to complain about. Suck
it up, play better, and make the cut.
