My major equipment change will be to replace my spikes.

My game doesn't need new clubs, it needs more skill.

I changed shoes. After much twisting and lubeing, the damned worn out
spikes wouldn't come out.

I ended up doing 2 things today for this season.

I spent some time on the launch monitor today with the Callaway Diablo
Edge and X irons. When all was said and done, I couldn't see a benefit
to the Diablos over the X and the X18s were as good as the X20 and X22
series. So I got 4-SW in them.

I also ordered a powered push cart, should be come in about a week or so
from now.

As to the game, well it isn't the clubs!! :)

A professional clubfitter made this set of clubs for me.

KZG irons 3-9,PW,AW,SW.LW

Carlton Heritage woods 1, 3 and 5

Hybrid irons for me, 1, 2, 3 and 4, Power Play Select 5000 Hybrid.
They are just like the respective iron except for the hybrid iron
head.

Putter.

By the way, selecting 14 clubs those 19 is easy. My typical carry for
Belmont Golf Course at Richmond VA, is woods 1 and 5, hybrid irons 2,
3 and 4, irons 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, PW, SW, PW, and putter.

All 19 clubs are stored in the bag, and the whole assemly goes to the
range.

I'm currently playing all Callaways - a whole bunch of them. Driver
(Fti, 10.5°, draw bias), 3,5,7.9 woods Callaway X, Callaway 4-sw irons
and Callaway putter. (No, I don't carry all of them at one time unless
I'm just out goofing around.) I've had them all for about six years.

I'm seriously thinking about switching this year to the Adams OS irons.
I'm thinking about driving down to Austin this week or next and trying
some out on Golfsmith's range. It would be a nice day and opportunity
for lunch out.

A few weeks ago I was trying to use up the last few bucks on a rebate
debit card and just managed to do it by buying a couple of sleeves ot
TopFlight Freak balls. Those suckers really go! They even bite decently
and I don't put a lot of spin on the ball. Unfortunately I think that
it was a limited trial run by TopFlight because I can't find any more
anywhere. If I can find some I'll buy two or three dozen and I don't
even like TopFlight.

Hello Scott,

Which KZG irons are they? I have been looking (Web pictures only) at the
ZO-Blades before I bought my used MP-33s. They looked awesome but I had not
heard much of KZG back then. What is the quality of the clubs? If forged
ones, how durable is the steel in your opinion?

I went for the Mizuno's after hearing that they where very durable for
forged irons. They have proven to be so since I have played them for years
now and they still look great. I am just wondering if I can expect the same
with other clubs.
