From: Lloyd Parsons on 9 Mar 2010 09:55 Mine's my MacGregor 9 wood. I get between 125-140 yds out of it that I can control, get a nice high ball that still goes a bit and I can CONTROL the damn thing! I find that on most holes I play to it. IOW, whatever it takes to get me within range of the green with that 9 wood gives me good results way more often than not. That's mine, what's yours? -- Lloyd

Whenever I'm in trouble or have to shape something a specific way, it comes out. Purely a mental thing. Many of my playing buddies tell me that I do things with the putter from off the green that they wouldn't dream of trying. So, maybe my Flat Wedge is a close second.

If I mishit I'm still not usually in trouble, or at least not much. And sometimes it gets out there long and straight, unfortunately not often enough. -- Lloyd

I played with a guy this past weekend that uses the putter whenever he's within about 20 yds. I was amazed at how well that worked for him. -- Lloyd |
