Actually, he was simply dumb enough to allow himself to become the
lapdog of a group of wealthy Texans who wanted their stool pigeon in the
WH, and picked him for his name recognition. Then they had to put Cheney
in place to run the show. Disastrously.

You can't seriously think that HE got himself elected. That's even if
you think he actually won the election against Gore.

The best that I can say for him is that he has been a figurehead in
all of his ventures, including the Presidency. He's traded on the
Bush name frome day one.

Forty-three percent of the uninsured could afford health insurance but
choose not to buy it. What is unknown is how many of these people do
it because they know that if they get sick they can get health care
and not have to pay for it.

If we had left "businessmen" alone, we would not have clean air to
breathe, clean water to drink, safe cars to drive, safe food to eat,
safe working conditions, building codes, truth in advertising, anti-
trust protection, equal opportunity in employment and housing....jeez,
I could go on all day.
