It has nothing to do with your play. Many pros use no gloves.

I do find that it helps me immensely to change grips annually and to
wash my hands well with soap & water before playing. I get really good
easy grip that way.

Sammy could play barefoot too. Whether we have the good soft grip
with or without a glove isn't particularly related to their skills.

I usually wait until just before somebody putts before removing my glove. I
like newer gloves because the velcro makes a sweet rrriiiippppp sound.
