Try Scandinavia, for a start. And for a fraction of the cost.

It didn't cost me a dime and I could go to any US military hospital or
clinic around the world and receive medical care. In emergencies I could
go to non-military hospitals and receive care for free.

"Universal health care is health care coverage for all eligible
residents of a political region and often covers medical, dental and
mental health care. Typically, costs are borne in the majority by
publicly-funded programs."

This sounds appropriate to Military Health Care. They covered medical,
dental and mental health and it was from a publicly funded program.

No, I want them to open up their wallets and pay for the services they
receive. Taxes are just a way of sharing expenses.

Do you know what I paid in federal income taxes last year? I won't even
include my wife's federal taxes.

Yes! Finally. Taxes paid on beer and cigarettes by these people would
offset costs incurred in other areas. Like, oh, I don't know...
healthcare. You can slap yourself in the forehead now. I'll wait.

You want to teach them, do you? That is truly funny.

If universal healthcare provided healthcare for less total cost than
private healthcare plus taxes, would it still be a bad thing?
